Oh my goodness. What an incredibly amazing bakery with so much deliciousness! So cool to have a place to go for amazing sweets even with a dairy allergy! So good! We got a cupcake, a brownie, a tart, and a cinnamon roll and they were all perfect!

Gluten-free, egg-free, nut-free, and totally vegan. This is the only place my wife is ever been to where she can literally have (almost) everything in the bakery. She was so grateful she had tears of gratitude for the first couple minutes here :-) no exaggeration! It's really hard to find great food (especially desserts) like this for people with allergies. And the Tenant was super helpful and friendly. Do you have allergies this is definitely place for you to come because there are desserts here for you :-)

This is one of my favorite bakeries; its actually more than a bakery! Especially love their breakfast. Efficient, friendly, customer service. Fair prices and the food is good.

This place was so much better than any dedicated gluten/allergen-free bakery I've ever been to on the west coast. Wide variety of treats that aren't stupid sweet & most importantly, don't have that gluten-free chulky rice flour taste when you bite into them...they actually taste like real/regular cookies & desserts!!I just happened to be in the day they were training a new employee & overheard all their procedures & precautionaries to keep allergens at bay... Definitely made me wished I lived close enough to make this my regular bakery!

This bakery is AMAZING!!!! They would be a fantastic regular bakery - their food is that delicious - but on top of it all, they're gluten (and top ten allergen) free! My girlfriend is gluten free and has found this place life changing. She can order anything that strikes her fancy without having to worry if she'll be sick afterward or not! The staff is amazing and they know their stuff. I'm not gluten free but I still love eating there with my girlfriend because the food is so good!! The flat bread is the best I've eaten, gluten or not!

Best gluten free bakery in San Diego. So many options! I've tried everything from fruit tarts to muffins to rolls and they were all delicious and I didn't have any allergies afterwards.

Went on a Thursday and didn't have to wait in line so that was a win! Have been dying to come here for years and it truly lives up to the hype. The detail and delicacy is unmatched. You will want to take one of everything! Best donut and croissant in the world

I called ahead (from Canada) and ordered some cupcakes for a friend's 50th birthday. Ran into a bit of a snag upon pick up, but the guys took care of it and made it right. The cupcakes are amazing! There are 2 of us in the group of 14 we traveled with that have dietary restrictions and everyone raved about the quality and taste.

Although IÒ€ℒm not vegan, I love the desserts here. I just feel better knowing that my sweet tooth is being satisfied with better ingredients. Today I got a refreshing fresh fruit torte for my niece and nephewÒ€ℒs birthday party along with some vegan cupcakes to go around it: vanilla, devilÒ€ℒs food chocolate, mocha, carrot, and 4 strawberry cupcakes. The lemon bars are tart and delicious Ò€” prepare to eat it with a fork or spoon as the vegan crust is light and crumbly.

After having a vegan coffee cake that was basically rubber at a nearby coffee shop, I was happy to find this place while walking around Hillcrest. I tried a lavender cupcake and cranberry scone. Both were so delicious. Perfect place for those with a sweet tooth, but have allergies. Friendly staff and good service.

My children and I loved this cute and charming place. Yummy gluten free pastries and good services. No chance of cross contamination so you relax and enjoy. We tried the lemon pound cake and the hot coco cupcake. Very good.We got lucky and found 15 mins free parking.

For being a gluten-soy-egg free type bakery, there are a variety of pastries and desserts to select, from cupcakes and tortes to scones. Some of the prices may be a little high, but given the type of ingredients and type of bakery this is, that would be something to expect.I tried a grasshopper cupcake (mint) and the lemon torte (like a small flat cake). Both were very good, the cupcake had the mint frosting, and the cake part was pretty soft. The torte has a thick, dense cake base, with a sweet tart lemon topping. I've always been hesitant to try these types of places, but when you have food restrictions, you just have to see and try it, and then realize it's not as bad as you thought and can actually be good!

Yes it's true, the cinnamon buns at Starry Lane Bakery may change your life, or at least your entire day. The rest of the pastries were just ok for me (muffin came in second), but the prices were very reasonable and I always appreciate the efforts of a dedicated establishment. Most unexpectedly, the iced coffee (black) was better than most. You should check this joint out. I will be back Γ°ΕΈΒ€β€” Thank you for existing!!UPDATE 7/24/2018 : The cinnamon buns were calling!! If you're standing there looking at all the treats, unsure about the $5+ price tag of these morsels, I'm here to tell you that you will not regret the indulgence! I also tried the Carrot Cupcake and a plain roll, and I highly recommend both. This is what cravings are made of. Oh, and the service is fast and all smiles. FIVE stars

Cannot recommend this bakery highly enough. My husband and I have visited a couple of times during trips to see family in the area. The food is so delicious that we decided to use them for our LA wedding. Besides having celiac disease myself, we had a number of people with food allergies at the wedding. Not only did I feel safe having them eat the cake, it was beautiful and delicious. All our guests, allergies or not, raves about it.

Everything at Starry Lane Bakery is the best quality! Their cupcakes and cookies are amazing. They seem to use the most delicious recipes, coupled with top-notch ingredients. It is always a treat to try anything from this place.

Questions & Answers

No. But currently they have the spot on the street right out front for curbside pickup.

Starry Lane is an egg free bakery, and does not make any kind of Challah bread. Sorry.

To add to this, their policy is to not allow any outside food or drinks into the store at any time. You can imagine a scenario where someone brings a cookie with a nut topping in, eats it at a table, and leaves some crumbs that could severely affect the next person that eats at that table if, say, they have a nut allergy. I suppose you could bring outside food in in a sealed bag or tucked away in a backpack but you can not bring even a Starbucks or food from somewhere else. You must finish it, trash it, or leave it outside before entering for other custoners' safety.

From my experience it is baked daily

Two of our cupcakes, the campfire and the cookies and cream, contain oats. However we do use oats in the bakery, so there is always a small chance of cross contamination. We have full ingredient information for all of our products available on the menu section of our website starrylanebakery.com. For more information please give us a call at 619 328 0500

Not as far as I am aware, but give them a call and chat with them. They're really good at accommodating allergies and health needs when possible.

I’m sorry, none of our baked goods are suitable for a ketogenic diet.

I've never seen them have a GF rosca.

Yes they do, they are by order only

We do not make sourdough bread.
